Why Energy Matters

Energy isn’t just a commodity — it’s the lifeblood of our economy, our national defense, and our way of life. Without reliable power, our hospitals, farms, schools, and homes cannot function. Every sector of American prosperity depends on affordable and dependable energy.

When we rely on foreign nations for oil, gas, or critical materials, we surrender our independence. Energy policy is national security policy. A nation that cannot power itself cannot defend itself.

Millions of Americans work in energy production, refining, transportation, and maintenance. These are high-skill, high-responsibility careers that support families, towns, and entire regions of our country. Supporting American energy means supporting American workers.

Affordable energy keeps factories open, food prices stable, and families warm in the winter. Every dollar added to the cost of fuel or electricity is a dollar taken from working families. We stand for policies that protect affordable energy access for all.

America leads the world in energy innovation — from cleaner fuels and advanced drilling to wind, solar, nuclear, and battery technology. We can protect the environment while growing our economy. American ingenuity, not foreign dependence, is the path forward.

Every gas pump, wind turbine, pipeline, and power plant built on American soil is a symbol of freedom. Energy independence ensures our nation remains strong, self-sufficient, and able to choose its own destiny without bowing to global pressure.
